- Introduction & Background
As we all know, the AH-64D Apache armed helicopter is the most advanced special-purpose armed helicopter in active service. This helicopter was formerly a product of Hughes Company and later belonged to McDonnell Douglas. Since 1997, due to the reorganization of some US military industrial enterprises, it has become Products from the American Boeing Company.
As an armed helicopter that successfully flew for the first time in 1975, the development of the AH-64 Apache was not smooth. After years of test flights, this helicopter did not begin mass production until 1983, and was officially equipped with the U.S. Army in 1986. Fortunately, during the 1991 Gulf War, the AH-64 Apache helicopter gunship became famous in the battle and was subsequently snapped up by many countries. Many countries and regions around my country have purchased this model. According to incomplete statistics, there are currently more than 2,000 AH-64 Apache armed helicopters in the world. This mainly includes AH-64A/D/E.
